PCB design rules - 1

All single sided board supports the following material: FR-1(94V0), CEM-1, FR-4.
All single-sided board solder mask supports the following color: Red, Green, Bule, Yellow, White, Black.
All single layer thickness supports the following value: FR-1(94V0): 1.6 mm. CEM-1: 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm ,1.6 mm. FR-4:0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm ,1.6 mm, 2.0 mm.
All single sided board surface finishes supports the following process: Lead free solder(HASL-Free), Lead-tin solder(HASL), Immersion gold(ENIG), OSP.
Silkscreen layer design rules as below:
  • Characters (Silkscreen layer) min height least ≥ 1 mm, min width least ≥ 0.15 mm. otherwise, the result is often blurred.
  • The fields for layer copper and edge of the board, Please keep a distance least ≥ 0.3 mm. Especially V-cut board and production mode.

PCB design rules - 2

All double layer PCB board supports the following material: FR-1(94V0), CEM-1, FR-4.
All double layer board solder mask supports the following color: Red, Green, Bule, Yellow, White, Black.
All double layer circuit thickness supports the following value: 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm.
All double layer board surface finishes supports the following process: Lead free solder(HASL-Free), Lead-tin solder(HASL), Immersion gold(ENIG).
Hole design rules as below:
  • We recommend all file(PCB gerber) layers keep a clear layer naming. Any uncertainty conditions, will be repeatedly ask customer and spend some time.
  • A circuit board only allow a shape layer. Such as use the Keepout layer (protel series) or mechanical layer, mechanical layer is preferred.
  • Non-metallic pcb hole or annular slot
  • Non-metallic hole or annular slot. Please use the mechanical layer. Any other layer's hole will be metallized.
  • PCB board open windows on solder mask layer
  • Opening a windows in PCB solder mask layer. Its only use the solder mask layer, Do not use other layers to marking a solder mask window. That might be ignored.

PCB design rules - 3

All multi-layer PCB board supports the following material: FR-1(94V0), CEM-1, FR-4. (No blind or buried via)
All multi-layer board solder mask supports the following color: Red, Green, Bule, Yellow, White, Black.
All multi-layer circuit thickness supports the following value: 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm.
All multi-layer board surface finishes supports the following process: Lead free solder(HASL-Free), Lead-tin solder(HASL), Immersion gold(ENIG).
Solder mask bridge design rules as below:
  • PCB board solder mask bridge design rule
  • Solder mask bridge. DiG'PCB not support Solder mask bridge process. Please refer to the above Fig.
  • PCB metallic hole or metallic annular slot rule
  • Any metallic hole or metallic annular slot, Please use multi-Pad hole placed in parallel line. This is a perfect solution.
  • Non-metallic pcb annular slot for production
  • Non-metallic hole or annular slot. Please use the mechanical layer. Any other layer's hole will be metallized. Or may even be ignored.

PCB production panels rules

For all PCB panel, We do not support many small size PCB into a panel. For high-volume production (Qty ≥ 100 PCS or area more than 1 square meter), We support only same size PCB into a panel. Min panel size: ≥ 30 mm, Max panel size: ≤ 500 mm (actual size: ≤ 300 mm).
DiGPCB recommend multi-panel rules are as follows: (only applicable to high-volume production)
  • PCB v-cut design rule for production
  • Irregular circuit panel, Please keep minimum distance between any two V-cut lines is 3 mm.
  • PCB v-cut design for error rules
  • We do not support many different small PCB into a panel. Min panel size (length or width): ≥ 30 mm.
  • PCB production for slot design rule
  • Multi-panel mechanical slot minimum distance is ≥ 3mm (if exists). Otherwise, please set minimum distance is 0.00 mm.
